Built in 1835 by the Worsley family on their Hovingham estate as a health spa, Spa House provides a very tranquil environment. The area is popular with walkers, bird-watchers, and those who just want to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Spa House is ideally situated for those wanting to explore the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, Castle Howard and picturesque market towns such as Helmsley, Thirsk and Pickering. The East Coast towns of Scarborough and Whitby are also easily accessible by car.

For those who want to abandon the car then there are many walks, pubs and cycle rides starting from outside our front door.
